Happy pet photographer here! A new puppy, two great dogs that are neighbors/best buds (their yard even shares a fence so they can visit all the time!), and yes, two chickens! Backyard chickens in Batavia, IL, ready to be included in a few photos because, well, they’re funny. They don’t listen, they don’t pose, they really don’t care about much except eating. The puppy and dogs were awesome – well-behaved, playful, obedient, and oh so sweet. Their owners have done an incredible job with them. Two gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointers, one sweet as pie rescue Beagle mix that is just the best dog around, and yes, some chickens.
We captured some posed photos of the dogs (they all listen so well!), some silly candid photos, and we enjoyed the beautiful weather in their gorgeous Kane County backyards right before sunset. These dogs are so loved and are definitely an important part of their families. Dog photography is seriously one of the most fun types of photography. We sat in the grass, threw tennis balls and squeaky toys, made silly noises, and I got more puppy licks than I could count. And we captured some awesome images for both families to treasure for years to come. Puppies don’t stay little long, so I hope the families can look back at these in just a year or two and say “remember when!”.
I can’t wait to see what this beautiful little pup looks like next summer!
