When A’s mom called and said that it was time for senior photos for her son that would be graduating next spring, I was thrilled! His mom was one of my son’s teachers at Kaneland, and I have known this great family for several years. So, yes, I was ready to be their photographer and capture some great moments! We talked through all of the beautiful location choices in Kane and DeKalb County to figure out what they were both looking for in a photo session. We decided upon the always scenic Ellwood House in DeKalb, IL, for a good variety of colors, flowers, brick, and unique areas during this summer evening photo session. It’s always nice to envision what you’d like to see hung on your walls when you’re deciding on a photo session location.
I really do wish that high school senior photo sessions were like this back when I was a senior! We walked around, scoped out the great locations, talked about college applications (sooo different than when I went to college!), and of course we talked about baseball. “A” is an incredible baseball player and athlete. I truly enjoy hearing about senior’s plans for after high school, their aspirations, their goals. I am always amazed at their talents, skills, and knowledge of all things techy. I always learn a few new cell phone tricks while we’re walking around!
Not only did we capture some absolutely awesome senior photos of A, but we included his beautiful sisters in a few images as well! Lots of love right there with these siblings. And these two sisters definitely look up to and admire their older brother. Notre Dame will be lucky to have this senior on campus this fall. Congratulations, “A”, and I can’t wait to catch a baseball game soon!
We snuck in a few shots with his adorable sisters, too!
