Hello! Let me introduce “H”, a Class of 2017 Kaneland high school senior! She and her awesome mom met me at LeRoy Oakes in St. Charles for her senior photography session on a beautiful, warm weeknight fall evening. They liked the many options at LeRoy Oakes, so we headed there first. I learned quickly that H has a stunning and infectious smile. It was hard to get that “serious” look from her, because she clearly is a happy person! She had to put her game face on to not smile. And those burgundy heels!! I had to ask where she bought them, they’re just beautiful.
When we finished our fun at LeRoy, we headed over to Kaneland High School in Maple Park. H is a varsity soccer player, so she definitely wanted to have photos taken at the soccer field behind the high school. We timed it perfectly, as it was a clear night and the sun was starting to set! I do love a good sunset over the farm fields in western Kane County. As I was talking to H and her mom, I realized that I had taken H’s photos for KHS soccer games while I was working for the Elburn Herald. We definitely do live in a small world. We also talked about applying to colleges, visiting colleges, and enjoying senior year in high school. It really does pass by in the blink of an eye.
Things to bring to a senior session: a few outfits to change into, lip gloss for gals, cold water, any personal items (musical instruments, letter jackets, sports items, your dog, etc.). I want everyone’s senior photos to turn out as beautiful as H’s did! Best wishes, H, as you prepare for the next adventure!
