This Kaneland High School senior and his mom chose me as their senior photographer, and I was so excited to help them figure out what they were looking for in senior portraits! I photographed their awesome and fun family a few years back, and at that time “S” said to his mom that I had to do his senior photos. My photography sessions are relaxed, fun, and I strive to bring out the best and most natural expressions from my families and seniors. S was definitely on board for some fun, so we headed out of Elburn to do just that.
S is not only an important member of Kaneland’s varsity cross country and track teams, he’s also a genuinely nice and responsible young man with a bright future ahead of him! He knew where he wanted his senior photos taken, and luckily we had a beautiful early fall day to add some goldens and oranges to our backdrop. His mom packed extra water and snacks to keep us all energized as we trekked around.
S had several outfits with to change into, depending on where we were and what our backdrop was looking like. His red, white, and blue flag shirt made me smile. Like a really really big smile. I just love it when my seniors can have some fun and put their personality into their photos! These are their photos and memories to look back on and to show their own kids someday. I know that American flag shirt will never go out of style. And of course, we couldn’t forget to include S’s Kaneland cross-country and track shirts! Definitely a big part of high school for this senior.
