I’d like to share an incredible winter wonderland with you here!  These photos were taken in Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles, in beautiful Kane County, Illinois.  A winter storm, complete with hoarfrost and rime ice, recently hit the Fox Valley area.  As a photographer, I was giddy with this change in weather patterns.  It’s not every day we have hoarfrost and a soft layer of fresh snow, with mild temperatures!  Happy dance over here, lol!  If we have to have winter, it should always look like this!

I visited several different locations in the Kane County Forest Preserve system.  I know these parks and trails well as my family hikes them on a regular basis.  We love having these beautiful trails and parks within a short drive of where we live.  They are full of natural beauty, wildlife, and peaceful, serene views.  Even our dog gets excited when we pull into one of the parking lots.

I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this season’s winter wonderland.  All of these photos (and many others!) from Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles are available for purchase through my website!  Items such as prints, canvases, metals, coffee mugs, cards, and so much more are available and are professionally printed right here in the U.S.!  Just click this link to see what’s in the store, and thanks for looking.
