The 27th Annual Elburn Christmas Stroll!

The 27th Annual Elburn Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll was held on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.  The annual event to ring in the holiday season took place from 4-8 p.m.in historic downtown Elburn.  And to whomever ordered up beautiful weather for this year’s Christmas Stroll, many many thanks!  This family-friendly night out on the town is sponsored by the Elburn Chamber of Commerce .  The Stroll is a jam-packed event!  It includes awesome holiday themed activities, a 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Kaneland Scholarship Fund, festive downtown lights and luminarias, local shopping on and near Main Street, fun events at the Elburn Community Center and Town & Country Public Library, and the popular Kris Kringle Market and Christmas Tree Lot at Obscurity BrewingTo view all of the event’s activities and places to visit, check out the incredible list here!

What is there to do at the Christmas Stroll?

So many of Elburn’s wonderful businesses offered free items or activities for guests to enjoy throughout the stroll.  To name a few: hot cocoa, cookies, pizza slices, apple cider, ornament decorating, wonderful live holiday music, holiday arts and crafts, cookie decorating kits, holiday photos, letters to Santa, letters to our troops, balloon animals, hot dogs, carolers, life-sized Candyland, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and so much more!!  Guests leisurely strolled Main Street (Route 47) and North Street, taking in the many sights, sounds, and delicious smells of the season. This wonderful event is such a hit every year because of the incredible local businesses and volunteers that make it all possible!  To all of you, a huge THANK YOU.  To Elburn’s Police and Fire Departments who keep Stroll visitors safe during the event, THANK YOU.

Elburn Chamber of Commerce Christmas StrollFor me, one of the highlights for the Christmas Stroll is to see so many smiling faces.  From little kids waiting patiently in line to talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus, to old neighbors running into each other and catching up, to seeing friends from cub scouts/school/PTO/youth sports, you name it.  As much as I always enjoy covering this wonderfully festive event, I enjoy seeing so many people I have met along the way just as much.  This is what living in Elburn is all about!
